I Have Learnt A Lot By Doing The Preliminary Exercise
And I've Refined My Knowledge On Things That I Thought I Knew About
For Example, Although A Camera Seems Like A Pretty Straightforward
Piece Of Equipment
There Are A LOT Of Things You Need To Be Careful About Such As Locking
It Onto A Tripod And Even Standing Behind It Correctly.
One Of The Main Things That The Preliminary Exercise Has Taught Me
Was To Pay Attention To Detail e,g, Lighting, Camera Positioning And
Sound & Props.
During Our Filming We Spotted That In Some Scenes The Camera Had
Been Nudged Or Shaken A Little By The Person Filming And Although
They Were Only Small Movements, They Had Quite A Big Impact On The
Quality Of What Was Supposed To Have Been Our Final Product.
We Also Found That Without The Correct Lighting, The Actors Were Not
Completely Visible And Or Their Complexion Wasn’t As Clear.
All In All, I Think That The Preliminary Exercise Has Taught Me To Be
Aware Of The Area In Which The Filming Is Being Done And To Ensure
That Little Mistakes And Negligence Doesn’t Take Away From The Quality
Of Our Opening Sequence.
